Selena Gomez and Francia Raisa have taken their relationship to the next level.
Selena Gomez, a Pop star Entertainer, who suffers from lupus; an autoimmune disease that affects the kidneys requiring dialysis or a kidney transplant, was in need of a transplant. And in steps her BFF, Francia Raisa to change her life by donating her a kidney.
Gomez wrote in her post on Instagram, “There aren’t words to describe how I can possibly thank my beautiful friend. She gave me the ultimate gift and sacrifice by donating her kidney to me. I am incredibly blessed. I love you so much, sis.”
And Raisa feels she is “beyond grateful “that God would trust her with something that could not only save a life but save the life of her best friend, Selena Gomez.
These two women will not only share a friendship but a bond for life as this loving act, is now “part of their story” said Raisa. This gift has also extended Raisa’s family circle as Gomez’s mother, Mandy Teefy said she is gaining another daughter in Francia. This is truly a gift that will keep on giving.
Both women are recuperating well, Raisa has returned to work on the set of Grown-ish in LA, a sit-com similar to “Black-ish”, and Gomez has posted pictures of her scar and promised her fans more details about her health in the near future.
These two friends have given new meaning to “FRIENDS FOR LIFE”. We pray continued good health and many more years of a lifelong friendship for both women.
